The Rangers (14-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Brenham (Brenham, TX). The Cubs come into the 5A Region III District 17 challenge with a 17-7 record. In their last challenge, Brenham prevailed over A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX), 77-65, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX) in a 5A Region III District 17 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. College Station will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 12-12 record after their 69-58 non-league win over Episcopal School of Dallas (Dallas, TX).
