In Friday's league contest, the host Woodburn Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 64-57 triumph over the Corvallis Spartans.

The Bulldogs (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Lebanon (Lebanon, OR). The Warriors go into the 5A Mid-Willamette contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Lebanon was tipped by McKay (Salem, OR), 69-59, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans confront the Dallas Dragons (Dallas, OR) in a 5A Mid-Willamette contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Corvallis will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Dragons go into the contest with a 0-7 record after their 70-32 league loss to Silverton (Silverton, OR).
