Mississippi High School Basketball - East Central overwhelmed by Laurel

In Friday's league test, the Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS) basketball squad trounced the host East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS), by a score of 65-32.

Next, the Golden Tornadoes encounter the Wayne County War Eagles (Waynesboro, MS) in a 5A Region 4 test, on Tuesday, January 7. Laurel will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The War Eagles come into the test with a 7-8 record after their 50-29 non-league loss to Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS).

The Hornets (3-11) will now prepare for their test against Gautier (Gautier, MS). The Gators come into the 5A Region 4 test with a 9-9 record.
