Ohio High School Basketball - Western can't hold off Eastern

Eastern Eagles (Beaver, OH) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Western Indians (Latham, OH), 64-62 in a league match.
With the victory, Eastern upgrades its record to 7-1 on the year. The Eagles travel to South Gallia (Crown City, OH) to face the Rebels in a Southern Ohio II match on Tuesday, January 7. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 1-6.
The Indians now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fairfield for a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. Western will face a Lions squad coming off a 56-43 league win over Whiteoak (Mowrystown, OH). The Lions record now stands at 6-1.
