The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Federal Way Eagles (Federal Way, WA) and the visiting White River Hornets (Buckley, WA), observed Federal Way's basketball team edge White River by a score of 66-60.

The Eagles (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Jefferson (Auburn, WA). The Raiders come into the 3A/4A North Puget Sound challenge with a 0-10 record. In their last challenge, Jefferson was tipped by Kent-Meridian (Kent, WA), 71-54, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets play the Tumwater Thunderbirds (Tumwater, WA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 4. White River will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 67-45 non-league win over Evergreen (Seattle, WA).
