In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Firth Cougars basketball team scored a close 53-46 win over the South Fremont Cougars.
The Cougars (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Bear Lake (Montpelier, ID). The Bears come into the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Bear Lake edged North Fremont (Ashton, ID), 59-55, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the American Falls Beavers (American Falls, ID) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 9. South Fremont will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Beavers come into the contest with a 7-1 record after their 45-33 non-league win over Grace (Grace, ID).
