In Friday's league contest, the host Lanesboro Burros basketball team scored a close 43-36 triumph over the Grand Meadow Superlarks.

The Burros (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Southland (Adams, MN). The Rebels go into the A Section 1 contest with a 9-0 record. In their last contest, Southland nipped Spring Grove (Spring Grove, MN), 64-51, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Superlarks confront the Kingsland Knights (Spring Valley, MN) in a A Section 1 contest, on Monday, January 6. Grand Meadow will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 6-4 record after their 64-52 league win over LeRoy-Ostrander (LeRoy, MN).
