The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA) and the host Harriton Rams (Rosemont, PA), observed Springfield's basketball team edge Harriton by a score of 40-37.

The Cougars (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Constitution (Philadelphia, PA). The Generals come into the non-league challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, Constitution edged Penn Wood (Lansdowne, PA), 49-45, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Rams encounter the Ridley Raiders (Folsom, PA) in a Central challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Harriton will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 56-47 league loss to Garnet Valley (Glen Mills, PA).
