Lake Hornets (Lake, MS) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Scott Central Rebels (Forest, MS), 55-45 in a league match.

With the victory, Lake advances its record to 6-4 on the year. The Hornets travel to Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS) to face the Bulldogs in a 2A Region 5 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 12-4. Bay Springs won 50-29 in their recent non-league match against Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS)

The Rebels now own a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kemper County for a non-league match on Saturday, January 4.
