North Carolina High School Basketball - Lexington triumphant over West Davidson

January 3, 2025: Lexington, NC 27295

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC) and the host West Davidson Dragons (Lexington, NC), observed Lexington's basketball team overwhelm West Davidson by a score of 85-47.

The Yellowjackets (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Salisbury (Salisbury, NC). The Hornets come into the 1A/2A Central Carolina challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Salisbury trounced East Davidson (Thomasville, NC), 75-31, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Dragons encounter the North Rowan Cavaliers (Spencer, NC) in a 1A/2A Central Carolina challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. West Davidson will attempt to improve on its 1-13 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 62-45 non-league loss to Carson (China Grove, NC).
