In Friday's league contest, the visiting Lisbon Lions basketball team scored a big 66-15 win over the Midland Eagles.

The Lions (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA). The Irish come into the Tri-Rivers contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Prince of Peace Prep was trounced by Northeast (Goose Lake, IA), 65-47, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Clayton-Ridge Eagles (Guttenburg, IA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 4. Midland will attempt to better on its 0-8 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 1-6 record after their 62-36 league loss to Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA).
