The Lone Oak Buffaloes basketball team scored 65 points and limited the host Mount Vernon Tigers to 37 in the Buffaloes league triumph on Friday.

The Buffaloes now have a 13-11 record. They play next when they host Prairiland for a 3A Region II District 12 game on Tuesday, January 7. Lone Oak will confront a Patriots team coming off a 55-42 league loss to Chisum (Paris, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 12-12.

With the loss, Mount Vernon falls to 0-14 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Rains (Emory, TX) to confront the Wildcats in a 3A Region II District 12 game on Tuesday, January 7. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 14-5. Rains lost 63-55 in their recent league game against Commerce (Commerce, TX)
