The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Monmouth Academy Mustangs (Monmouth, ME) and the host Old Orchard Beach Seagulls (Old Orchard Beach, ME), observed Monmouth Academy's basketball team knock off Old Orchard Beach by a score of 60-43.

The Mustangs (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Madison (Madison, ME). The Bulldogs come into the C South challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Madison was knocked off by Maranacook (Readfield, ME), 50-40, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Seagulls encounter the Waynflete Flyers (Portland, ME) in a C South challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Old Orchard Beach will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record.
