The Waverly Central Tigers (Waverly, TN) basketball toppled the visiting Montgomery Central Indians (Cunningham, TN), 71-56 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Tigers now possess a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to Perry County for a non-league bout on Monday, January 6. Waverly Central will play a Vikings team coming off a 49-42 non-league loss to Houston County (Erin, TN). The Vikings record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, Montgomery Central falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Glencliff (Nashville, TN) to play the Colts in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Colts go into the bout with a record of 2-7.
