In Friday's league contest, the visiting New London Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 59-56 win over the Shawano Community Hawks.

The Bulldogs (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Denmark (Denmark, WI). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Denmark edged Luxemburg-Casco (Luxemburg, WI), 60-57, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Seymour Thunder (Seymour, WI) in a Bay contest, on Friday, January 10. Shawano Community will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Thunder come into the contest with a 9-2 record after their 79-68 non-league win over Sturgeon Bay (Sturgeon Bay, WI).
