The Patrick County Cougars were victorious over the visiting North Stokes Vikings basketball squad by a final score of 74-62 in Friday's non-league outing.

Next, the Cougars clash with the Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, January 4. Patrick County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Pioneers enter the outing with a 7-4 record after their 64-57 league win over Auburn (Riner, VA).

The Vikings (9-4) will now prepare for their outing against Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Trojans enter the 1A Northwest outing with a 5-5 record. In their last outing, Alleghany ran past Grayson County (Independence, VA), 39-33, in a non-league outing.
