Texas High School Basketball - Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest overwhelmed by Vela

In Friday's league test, the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) basketball squad trounced the visiting Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Javelinas (Pharr, TX), by a final score of 97-29.

Next, the Sabercats clash with the Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 31 test, on Tuesday, January 7. Vela will attempt to upgrade on its 24-4 season record. The Diamondbacks come into the test with a 11-13 record after their 66-40 league win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX).

The Javelinas (2-13) will now prepare for their test against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial (Alamo, TX). The Wolverines come into the 5A Region IV District 31 test with a 6-12 record. In their last test, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial was overwhelmed by Rowe (McAllen, TX), 61-38, in a league test.
