In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Yutan Chieftains basketball team scored a good 68-60 triumph over the Raymond Central Mustangs.
The Chieftains (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Concordia (Omaha, NE). The Mustangs go into the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Concordia topped Doniphan-Trumbull (Doniphan, NE), 51-38, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the North Bend Central Tigers (North Bend, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Raymond Central will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 5-4 record after their 48-46 non-league win over Milford (Milford, NE).
