In Friday's league contest, the host Velma-Alma Comets basketball team scored a big 93-40 win over the Ringling Blue Devils.

The Comets (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Central (Marlow, OK). The Bronchos come into the Oilfield contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Central smashed Rush Springs (Rush Springs, OK), 64-37, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Blue Devils battle the Empire Bulldogs (Duncan, OK) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Ringling will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 4-4 record after their 77-15 league win over Temple (Temple, OK).
