With the victory, South Delta upgrades its record to 6-6 on the year. The Bulldogs host Leland (Leland, MS) to face the Cubs in a 1A Region 5 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Cubs enter the match with a record of 1-9.

The Blue Devils now sport a 0-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Bolivar for a 1A Region 5 match on Tuesday, January 7. Simmons will face a Eagles squad coming off a 54-40 league loss to Shaw (Shaw, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 7-7.
