Texas High School Basketball - Smithson Valley can't hold off Veterans Memorial

The Veterans Memorial Patriots nipped the host Smithson Valley Rangers basketball squad by a final score of 47-46 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Patriots face the Boerne-Champion Chargers (Boerne, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 26 outing, on Tuesday, January 7. Veterans Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record. The Chargers enter the outing with a 20-5 record after their 73-49 league win over Tivy (Kerrville, TX).

The Rangers (8-9) will now prepare for their outing against Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX). The Chargers enter the 5A Region IV District 26 outing with a 20-5 record.
