The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Whiteface Antelopes (Whiteface, TX) and the visiting Smyer Bobcats (Smyer, TX), observed Whiteface's basketball team overwhelm Smyer by a score of 71-30.

The Antelopes (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Plains (Plains, TX). The Cowboys come into the 2A Region I District 5 challenge with a 17-2 record. In their last challenge, Plains trounced Morton (Morton, TX), 52-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Seagraves Eagles (Seagraves, TX) in a 2A Region I District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Smyer will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record.
