In Friday's league contest, the host Stoneham Spartans basketball team scored a close 51-47 triumph over the Wakefield Memorial Warriors.
The Spartans (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Triton Regional (Byfield, MA). The Vikings go into the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Triton Regional was tipped by Stoneham (Stoneham, MA), 64-41, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors confront the Belmont Marauders (Belmont, MA) in a Middlesex contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Wakefield Memorial will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Marauders go into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 46-27 league loss to Arlington (Arlington, MA).
