Stratford Academy Eagles (Macon, GA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Westfield School Hornets (Perry, GA), 71-55 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Stratford Academy advances its record to 11-4 on the year. The Eagles host George Walton Academy (Monroe, GA) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 2-7. George Walton Academy lost 53-36 in their recent non-league match against Brentwood (Sandersville, GA)

The Hornets now own a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brookstone for a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 5 match on Tuesday, January 7. Westfield School will face a Cougars squad coming off a 64-56 non-league win over Lamar County (Barnesville, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 7-7.
