The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS) and the host West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS), observed Alcorn Central's basketball team knock off West Union by a score of 45-33.
The Bears (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Booneville (Booneville, MS). The Blue Devils come into the 3A Region 1 challenge with a 10-4 record.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. West Union will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record.
