The Saginaw Rough Riders basketball squad (Saginaw, TX), was crushed 51-19 in Friday's league battle with the host Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX)

With the victory, Aledo advances its record to 14-10 on the year. The Bearcats travel to Granbury (Granbury, TX) to meet the Pirates in a 5A Region I District 5 battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Pirates enter the battle with a record of 15-10. Granbury lost 64-38 in their recent league battle against Brewer (Fort Worth, TX)
