Arkansas High School Basketball - Ashdown knocks off Hope

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Ashdown Panthers basketball team scored a good 39-29 win over the Hope Bobcats.
The Panthers (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Centerpoint (Amity, AR). The Knights come into the 3A Region 7 contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Centerpoint defeated Elkins (Elkins, AR), 44-40, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bobcats meet the Magnolia Panthers (Magnolia, AR) in a 4A Region 7 battle, on Friday, January 10. Hope will attempt to advance on its 0-8 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 13-7 record after their 56-54 non-league loss to Fouke (Fouke, AR).
