The Newton Tigers (Newton, MS) basketball were winner over the visiting Bay Springs Bulldogs (Bay Springs, MS), 43-35 in Friday's league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 12-2 record.
With the loss, Bay Springs falls to 10-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS) to play the War Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. The War Eagles go into the bout with a record of 12-2. Wayne County won 53-22 in their recent league bout against Stone (Wiggins, MS)
