The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Borden County Coyotes (Gail, TX) and the host Dawson Dragons (Welch, TX), observed Borden County's basketball team overwhelm Dawson by a score of 66-18.

The Coyotes (13-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Sands (Ackerly, TX). The Mustangs come into the 1A Region I District 6 challenge with a 12-10 record. In their last challenge, Sands trounced Klondike (Lamesa, TX), 37-27, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Dragons encounter the Loop Longhorns (Loop, TX) in a 1A Region I District 6 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Dawson will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record.
