California High School Basketball - Esperanza triumphant over Canyon

January 3, 2025: Anaheim, CA 92807

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA) and the visiting Canyon Comanches (Anaheim, CA), observed Esperanza's basketball team overwhelm Canyon by a score of 60-28.

The Aztecs (13-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Sonora (La Habra, CA). The Raiders come into the non-league challenge with a 10-6 record. In their last challenge, Sonora trounced La Serna (Whittier, CA), 51-29, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Comanches encounter the St. Mary's Academy Belles (Inglewood, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Canyon will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record. The Belles come into the challenge with a 10-5 record after their 76-29 non-league win over Glencoe (Hillsboro, OR).
