The Eagles (18-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Roosevelt (Dallas, TX). The Mustangs come into the 4A Region II District 11 challenge with a 3-11 record. In their last challenge, Roosevelt was knocked off by Pinkston (Dallas, TX), 53-24, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cowboys encounter the Conrad Chargers (Dallas, TX) in a 4A Region II District 11 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Carter will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 4-12 record after their 83-13 league loss to Lincoln (Dallas, TX).
