In Friday's league contest, the visiting Centerville Big Reds/Redettes basketball team scored a big 59-17 triumph over the Chariton Chargers.

The Big Reds/Redettes (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Fairfield (Fairfield, IA). The Trojans go into the non-league contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Fairfield was trounced by Davis County (Bloomfield, IA), 40-39, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Chargers battle the Interstate 35 Roadrunners (Truro, IA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Chariton will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Roadrunners go into the contest with a 3-5 record after their 51-43 league loss to Panorama (Panora, IA).
