Next, the Bulldogs encounter the Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) in a 4A Region II District 16 test, on Tuesday, January 7. Chapel Hill will attempt to improve on its 15-8 season record. The Buckeyes come into the test with a 3-17 record after their 44-35 league loss to Henderson (Henderson, TX).

The Knights (7-17) will now prepare for their test against Carthage (Carthage, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 4A Region II District 16 test with a 13-13 record. In their last test, Carthage bounced Kilgore (Kilgore, TX), 46-33, in a league test.
