The Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY) basketball crushed the host Clinton County Bulldogs (Albany, KY), 62-33 in Friday's league bout.
The Hornets now possess a 9-3 record. They play next when they host Cumberland County for a District 16 bout on Tuesday, January 7. Metcalfe County will play a Panthers team coming off a 61-51 non-league win over Jackson County (Gainesboro, TN). The Panthers record now stands at 11-2.
With the loss, Clinton County falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Williamsburg (Williamsburg, KY) to play the Yellow Jackets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a record of 4-3.
