The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Elgin Huskies (Elgin, OR) and the visiting Cove Leopards (Cove, OR), observed Elgin's basketball team overwhelm Cove by a score of 50-27.
The Huskies (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Joseph (Joseph, OR). The Eagles come into the 1A Old Oregon challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, Joseph was routed by Imbler (Imbler, OR), 59-23, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Leopards encounter the Adrian Antelopes (Adrian, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Cove will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Antelopes come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 54-36 non-league loss to Southwest Christian (Beaverton, OR).
