The Spartans (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Earlham (Earlham, IA). The Cardinals come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Earlham was routed by Van Meter (Van Meter, IA), 52-45, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Rockets encounter the Storm Lake St. Mary Panthers (Storm Lake, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Paton-Churdan will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 41-27 non-league loss to Southeast Valley (Gowrie, IA).
