In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Fairland Owls basketball team scored a big 52-14 triumph over the Nowata Ironmen.
The Owls (8-1) will now prepare for their contest against Wyandotte (Wyandotte, OK). The Bears go into the Lucky Seven contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Wyandotte was trounced by Chelsea (Chelsea, OK), 54-13, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Ironmen battle the Caney Valley Bullpups (Caney, KS) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Nowata will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record. The Bullpups go into the contest with a 4-0 record after their 49-46 non-league win over Dewey (Dewey, OK).
