The Yellowjackets now possess a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Neshoba Central for a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. Starkville will confront a Rockets team coming off a 62-53 league win over Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS). The Rockets record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Germantown falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Madison Central (Madison, MS) to confront the Jaguars in a 7A Region 2 game on Tuesday, January 7. The Jaguars go into the game with a record of 2-9. Madison Central lost 76-48 in their recent non-league game against Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS)
