The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Old Forge Blue Devils (Old Forge, PA) and the host Holy Cross Crusaders (Dunmore, PA), observed Old Forge's basketball team knock off Holy Cross by a score of 53-40.

The Blue Devils (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakeland (Jermyn, PA). The Chiefs come into the Lackawanna 3 challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Lakeland dropped by Honesdale (Honesdale, PA), 59-36, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Crusaders encounter the Mid Valley Spartans (Throop, PA) in a Lackawanna 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Holy Cross will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 29-27 league win over Riverside (Taylor, PA).
