The Keith Bears basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Johnson Eagles to 52 in the Bears league triumph on Friday.
The Bears now possess a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to Charles Henderson for a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. Keith will play a Trojans team coming off a 45-29 non-league win over Escambia County (Atmore, AL). The Trojans record now stands at 7-8.
With the loss, Johnson falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to University Charter (Livingston, AL) to play the Trail Blazers in a 1A Area 5 game on Tuesday, January 7. The Trail Blazers go into the game with a record of 3-9.
