In Friday's league contest, the host West Brook Bruins basketball team scored a big 85-18 triumph over the Lee Ganders.

The Bruins (16-6) will now prepare for their contest against Sterling (Baytown, TX). The Rangers go into the 5A Region III District 19 contest with a 5-16 record. In their last contest, Sterling was trounced by Nederland (Nederland, TX), 45-35, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Ganders battle the Beaumont United Timberwolves (Beaumont, TX) in a 5A Region III District 19 contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Lee will attempt to better on its 10-10 season record. The Timberwolves go into the contest with a 8-14 record after their 47-24 league loss to Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX).
