In Friday's league contest, the host Lone Star Rangers basketball team scored a big 84-0 triumph over the Turner Lions.

The Rangers (9-12) will now prepare for their contest against Wakeland (Frisco, TX). The Wolverines go into the 5A Region II District 12 contest with a 20-5 record. In their last contest, Wakeland smashed Creekview (Carrollton, TX), 67-38, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Reedy Lions (Frisco, TX) in a 5A Region II District 12 contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Turner will attempt to better on its 2-15 season record. The Lions go into the contest with a 17-9 record after their 45-22 league win over Newman Smith (Carrollton, TX).
