The Montgomery Central Timberwolves basketball team scored 58 points and limited the visiting Southern Lee Cavaliers to 37 in the Timberwolves non-league triumph on Friday.

The Timberwolves now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they host North Davidson for a 3A Mid-Piedmont game on Tuesday, January 7. Montgomery Central will confront a Black Knights team coming off a 63-52 non-league loss to Western Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 3-8.

With the loss, Southern Lee falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Hoke County (Raeford, NC) to confront the Bucks in a 3A/4A Sandhills game on Tuesday, January 7. The Bucks go into the game with a record of 3-10. Hoke County won 53-38 in their recent non-league game against Western Harnett (Lillington, NC)
