The New Hampstead Phoenix basketball squad (Savannah, GA), was crushed 77-52 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Perry Panthers (Perry, GA)
With the victory, Perry advances its record to 10-3 on the year. The Panthers host Ware County (Waycross, GA) to meet the Gators in a AAAA Region 1 battle on Friday, January 10. The Gators enter the battle with a record of 14-3.
The Phoenix now own a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ware County for a AAAA Region 1 battle on Tuesday, January 7. New Hampstead will meet a Gators squad coming off a 60-32 non-league win over Vidalia (Vidalia, GA). The Gators record now stands at 14-3.
