The Prince of Peace Prep Irish basketball squad (Clinton, IA), was nudged 33-29 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting North Cedar Knights (Stanwood, IA)

With the win, North Cedar upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Knights travel to West Liberty (West Liberty, IA) to clash with the Comets in a River Valley - South test on Thursday, January 9. The Comets come into the test with a record of 4-6. West Liberty lost 67-21 in their recent league test against Regina (Iowa City, IA)

The Irish (1-11) will now prepare for their test against Lisbon (Lisbon, IA). The Lions come into the Tri-Rivers - East test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Lisbon held off Midland (Wyoming, IA), 46-43, in a league test.
