The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) and the visiting West Rowan Falcons (Mt. Ulla, NC), observed Northwest Cabarrus's basketball team overwhelm West Rowan by a score of 66-18.

The Trojans (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Robinson (Concord, NC). The Bulldogs come into the 3A South Piedmont challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Robinson trounced Concord (Concord, NC), 68-26, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. West Rowan will attempt to improve on its 0-10 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 66-55 league loss to Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC).
