In Friday's league contest, the host St. Bernard Saints basketball team scored a big 53-25 win over the Putnam Clippers.
The Saints (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Tourtellotte Memorial (North Grosvenordale, CT). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Tourtellotte Memorial was trounced by Montville (Oakdale, CT), 44-14, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Clippers battle the Grasso RVT Eagles (Groton, CT) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 6. Putnam will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 50-12 non-league loss to Windham RVT (Willimantic, CT).
