In Friday's league contest, the visiting Wayne County War Eagles basketball team scored a big 53-22 triumph over the Stone Tomcats.
The War Eagles (12-2) will now prepare for their contest against Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Bay Springs was trounced by Newton (Newton, MS), 43-35, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Tomcats battle the Vancleave Bulldogs (Vancleave, MS) in a 5A Region 4 contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Stone will attempt to better on its 7-8 season record.
