In Friday's league contest, the host Spanish Springs Cougars basketball squad scored a nice 29-19 victory over the Galena Grizzlies.
With the victory, Spanish Springs advances its record to 6-3 on the year. The Cougars host Bishop Manogue (Reno, NV) to meet the Miners in a battle on Monday, January 6. The Miners enter the battle with a record of 4-4.
The Grizzlies now own a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Valleys for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 4. Galena will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 42-12 non-league loss to Spanish Springs (Sparks, NV). The Panthers record now stands at 3-10.
