Memorial Mavericks (Wichita Falls, TX) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX), 38-36 in a league match.
With the victory, Memorial advances its record to 8-6 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Legacy (Wichita Falls, TX) to face the Leopards in a match on Tuesday, January 14. The Leopards enter the match with a record of 0-0.
The Eagles now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cooper for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7.
